FEDS Protection Announces $3 Million Coverage Option

Federal law enforcement officers asked, and we listened—FEDS Protection is excited to announce that we have added a $3 million civil liability coverage option to our professional liability insurance (PLI) program, extending civil liability coverage available for federal employees beyond the existing $1 million and $2 million policies.

“FEDS Protection and its attorneys listen to and work with organizations, associations, government officials and other experts that are most familiar with the exposures federal employees face, to ensure that we’re always current and can respond to your specific needs,” said Tony Vergnetti, President and Founder of FEDS Protection.  “Due to high demand from our members, we’ve created this new policy limit to help federal employees maximize their protection from personal capacity lawsuits.  At FEDS Protection it has always been our goal to give federal employees peace of mind while they’re on the job, and this coverage expansion is an important extension of our ability to continually meet this goal.”

As a federal law enforcement officer, you are extremely vulnerable to personal capacity lawsuits. Your frequent interaction with the public and the current unpredictable climate for law enforcement officers put you at a higher risk of allegations and lawsuits being brought against you.  Even if you are ultimately vindicated, defending yourself against these claims can be costly, and the $3 million policy will help to protect against these ever-increasing costs.

New members can select the new $3 million policy during registration.  Current policyholders may increase coverage upon policy renewal—you may do so by selecting the $3 million policy option on your renewal application or by asking a customer service representative when you call in to renew.  The new $3 million coverage option will be available for a $490 annual premium.  If you have any questions about this new policy option, please contact us at feds@fedsprotection.com, visit www.fedsprotection.com, or call (866) 955-3337, M-F, 8:30am – 6pm.
