FEDS Protection Attends the 26th Annual FLEOA National Convention

In October, FEDS Protection attended the 26th Annual National Convention of the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association (FLEOA) in Rhode Island. As a proud sponsor of FLEOA, FEDS Protection was thrilled to see the federal law enforcement community gather for this annual event.

Led by FLEOA’s National President Larry Cosme, FLEOA leaders worked to complete crucial trainings, discuss legislative efforts, and connect with fellow law enforcement officers.

Cosme said: “The 26th FLEOA Convention was a resounding success due to the contributions of our sponsors, partners, and members. This Convention was unique this year in that we provided our delegates and presidents with one of a kind physical and mental health trainings to ensure their success in the field. We were also able to provide access to vital resources, like FEDS Protection, so agents and officers know someone has their back while they’re watching our country’s back. This convention was incredibly diverse and unique with attendees from across the country participating in these important trainings and receiving access to critical resources, and none of it would have been possible without the strong and consistent support of our partners. At the end of the day, our nation is safer because organizations like FEDS Protection recognize the value of law enforcement and are willing to work with FLEOA to provide our over 30,000 members with exceptional member benefits. We are grateful for their longstanding partnership with FLEOA and are excited to continue raising the bar and professionalizing policing in our nation."

During the FLEOA National Convention, FEDS President and Founder Anthony Vergnetti and Director of Marketing, Strategy, and Business Development Brenda Wilson appeared on the Talking Lead podcast.  On the podcast, Tony and Brenda talked about the unique professional, legal, and liability, exposures federal law enforcement officers have and how professional liability insurance (PLI) is essential protection for their careers.  Tony and Brenda also discussed the importance of the FLEOA National Convention, and how FEDS was proud to once again be a sponsor for the event.

Federal law enforcement officers can ensure that they are fully protected and represented by becoming members of FEDS Protection.  FEDS Protection offers PLI policies with $1 million, $2 million, or $3 million in civil liability protection for attorney’s fees and indemnity costs in the event you are sued in your civil capacity. Our policy also includes $200,000 of legal representation coverage per incident for administrative actions and $100,000 of coverage for criminal defense costs. Annual premiums for FEDS Protection PLI start at $290, which is less than it would typically cost to hire a federal employment lawyer for an hour. Additionally, federal law enforcement officers are eligible for a reimbursement of up to 50% of the cost of their PLI policy through their agency, as well as a FLEOA discount if they are FLEOA members.
