FEEA’s Tutoring Program

Are you a federal employee with a child in grades K-12, who needs some extra academic support right now?  If so, you are not alone. We know the added stress of the pandemic and disruptions to the traditional school experience are affecting many families. That’s why FEEA has developed a new program for your children to access free, online academic tutoring for most K-12 subjects. 

TUTORING IN ALL THE MAJOR SUBJECTS

FEEA's new partnership with Tutor.com provides free, on-demand, online tutoring to kids in grades K-12 looking for help with anything from early Reading, to Algebra, to AP Literature. Here's what's on offer:

Grades K-5: Math, Reading, Science, Social Studies, Spelling and Grammar, Writing, English Language Learning, French, German, Spanish, Microsoft Word

Grades 6-8: Algebra, Computer Science (intro), Earth Science, English Language Arts, English Language Learning, French, German, Math, Microsoft (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Windows), Physical Science, Pre-Algebra, Reading Comprehension, Science, Social Studies, Spanish, Study Skills.

Many parents are struggling with how best to help their kids with school this year -- how to get them organized, keep them motivated, and ensure their success. Through FEEA's partnership with Tutor.com, parents of K-12 kids can get coaching sessions on topics like:

  • Scheduling and Organization

  • Setting Expectations

  • Studying Techniques

  • Using Resources

  • Motivation and Goals

  • Managing Knowledge Gaps

  • Finding Balance

All families approved for the tutoring program can have free parent coaching sessions in addition to student tutoring.
