Legislative Proposals on Whistleblowers and Inspectors General

Whistleblowers and Inspectors General are a popular lot on Capitol Hill, since they identify issues large and small at agencies. As like any human being, sometimes the two make mistakes – and those mistakes can have huge implications for employees, agencies, and government policy.

Several legislative proposals have been floated on Capitol Hill to strengthen whistleblower protections and to bolster and expand the jurisdiction of IGs.

Two expert practitioners, Tom Devine Legal Director at the Government Accountability Project (GAP) and Jeff Neal, Sr. VP at ICF International, author of ChiefHRO.com and former DHS CHCO, join host Debra Roth of Shaw Bransford & Roth to discuss the intersection between these two areas and the implications for government.

The radio show aired Friday, February 19, at 11:00 a.m. ET. If you missed the show, listen to the full recording anytime via the player below.
