Museum Grand Opening Celebration
Our big day is almost here! Join us on Saturday, October 13, for a fun-filled day as we open the doors to our beautiful new National Law Enforcement Museum. This day of family fun is packed with special grand opening events and demonstrations. There will be live entertainment outdoors, a photo booth, forensics demonstrations, finger printing, caricature artists, face painting and more. The celebration takes place in the 400 block of E Street NW right in the heart of downtown Washington, DC.
Timed entry tickets will be required to enter the Museum. While you wait to get inside, take a walk through our interactive bridge to learn more about American law enforcement.
In addition, our annual Run for the Badge 5K coincides with the Grand Opening celebration of the Museum on October 13. To commemorate this amazing event, we’re giving every in-person participant a voucher for a free ticket into the Museum.* Sign up now to walk or run the 5K course and then plan to stick around for the Community Day festivities. Run for the Badge is a family-friendly event and a great way to show your support for the law enforcement community. Can’t make it to the event? Register as a virtual participant to run or walk your own course. Register now: www.RunForTheBadge.com
*Voucher can be used to enter the Museum on October 13 or saved for use by November 16, 2018 and is subject to space availability. You must pick up your race packet in person to receive a voucher. Vouchers will not be mailed and the offer is not valid for virtual participants.
