OPM Launches CFC Special Solicitation for Ukraine Refugees

In response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has initiated a special solicitation period in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC). Federal employees can make contributions through June 30 to their choice of more than 5,000 approved CFC charities. During the campaign, 100 percent of donations made will go to the selected charity without distribution fees. OPM will payout the pledged funds to the selected charities within two weeks of the donation receipt.

Generally, OPM limits CFC donations to the annual solicitation in the fall but leaves leeway for special solicitations on emergency relief.

โ€œThrough the annual Combined Federal Campaign, members of the federal family demonstrate that our commitment to public service extends far beyond the workplace,โ€ noted Director Kiran Ahuja, โ€œIn this moment of need, our efforts should focus on assisting the people of Ukraine.โ€

Director Ahuja stated the agency could not increase 2021 payroll pledges at this time. Employees who have already contributed to the 2021 CFC can make additional donations with credit and debit cards or automated clearinghouses.

Active and retired federal employees interested in contributing to the special campaign can do so at cfcgiving.opm.gov or on the CFC app.
