This Week on FEDtalk: Open Season Resources

Tune in to FEDtalk this week for an inside look at the Open Season Virtual Benefits Fair, plus hear from Blue Cross Blue Shield Association about their best FEHB offerings during Open Season.

For whatever reason―telework, geography, or no fair at your location--you can't always make it to an onsite event. The Virtual Benefits Fair is an online marketplace for (participating) OPM-sanctioned Federal employee benefit programs and carriers. Visit the Virtual Benefits Fair anytime between November 14 and December 12. Learn more about the Virtual Benefits Fair from Joan Melanson of Long Term Care Partners in the first half of the radio show.

For the second half of the show, we’ll be talking to Blue Cross Blue Shield about their FEHB plans during Open Season. More than eight and a half million people receive health insurance benefits through the FEHB Program, and the BCBS Service Benefit Plan, also known as the Federal Employee Program (or FEP), covers more than 5.4 million federal employees, retirees. and their families. Learn more about the two coverage types–Standard Option and Basic Option–offered by Blue Cross and find out which is best for you.

The radio show airs Friday, December 2, at 11:00 a.m. ET. On Friday, stream online at Federal News Radio, or tune in to 1500 AM in the Washington, DC area.
