What Feds Need to Know: Fall 2020

As part of our commitment to providing civilian federal employees and their families with access to products and services that promote their health, welfare, and financial well-being, WAEPA has compiled some of the top federal resources you need to be “in the know” for Open Season.

Open Season 2020

The 2020 Federal Employees Health Benefits (FEHB) Open Season will run from November 11 to December 9. The average FEHB premium increase in 2020 is 4 percent. Those interested in reviewing the options available this year may visit opm.gov/FEHBBrochures for more.

How Your Benefits Have Changed Recently

“Keeping track of all of the COVID-19-related changes that affect federal employee benefits has been no easy task this summer. There have been changes to the Federal Flexible Spending Account Program, the Thrift Savings Plan, the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program and leave rules.”

-Tammy Flanagan, a Federal Benefits and Retirement Expert, provides a rundown of some of the most significant modifications and flexibilities in Government Executive’s recent column.
